Why are they getting married in France???
First: because we were living in Paris when we picked the venue (luckily, we weren’t living in Singapore yet…)
Much more importantly, second: because we fell in love with it! We’re celebrating at Maison de Souhey near Dijon. A wonderful Belgian couple decided to renovate an old farm here and rent it out to young couples. The two of them are big fans of personal, one-of-a-kind celebrations, so we really get to design everything ourselves! And what they have to offer is second to none: a heated pool, horses, a pizza oven, a huge grill, an ice cream machine and everything else you could wish for. We’re incredibly excited – don’t forget your swimwear!
How do I get there???
By train via Karlsruhe [approx. 4 h]: take the TGV to Dijon, then the regional train to “Les Laumes – Alésia”, where we will pick you up for the last 5-minute drive.
By train via Paris [approx. 1 h]: take the TGV to “Gare de Montbard”, where we will pick you up for the last 15-minute drive. You can book trains in the DB Navigator app or with SNCF.
By car/camper van via Karlsruhe [approx. 5 h]: there is plenty of parking on site. Camper vans are very welcome – and do let us know if you have spare seats for others to ride along.
Where can I sleep???
Camping at Maison de Souhey
There is enough room to camp on the grounds: come with a camper van or a tent if you like. A pitch costs €10 per night, and you can use the house’s showers and bathrooms.
La Maison Lemoine by Restored
A 5-minute drive from Maison de Souhey there is a beautiful holiday home for 6, 15 or 21 people. Do let us know if you have spare beds for other guests. (Best to book early.)
Hôtel de la Côte-d’Or
A 10-minute drive away there is a hotel that our hosts recommend. Mention “Maison de Souhey” when you book to get a discount.
Semur-en-Auxois
One of the most beautiful villages in France is only a 10-minute drive from the venue. There and all around the area you’ll find places to stay on Booking & Airbnb – let us know if we can help you any further.
